7 Things To Do Before Christmas (Pt.7)
December 08, 2008
Hopefully, you're planning on taking some time off around Christmas and the New Year.
Do something different and make it your best holiday yet.
Shut down, turn off, and enjoy your God, your friends, and your family.
I'm sure you have lots to do before Christmas, but hopefully these seven suggestions will be of benefit to you as you finish this year. All the best!
Mark,
I haven't done most of the other 7 things you recommended but I am doing this one right now!

"The Birth of Jesus Foretold"
26 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37 For nothing is impossible with God."
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered.
"May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

Thanks for all the tips Mark, my 2009 calendar is almost finished! I wanted to let you know that last year we invited heaps of people to the Christmas Production. (most came too!) We arrived at CityLife the year before just in time for Christmas, so we knew it would be mind-blowingly good... One guy, my husband's old boss, came with his wife and kids and loved it so much they have made CityLife their home and this year he is bringing his whole family to the Christmas Production, parents, siblings, you name it... So, Praise God from whom all blessings flow. I love that our church understands Creative Arts. We are praying for you and your family, especially your dad. Have a wonderful Christmas, and remember to rest.
